What is the principle of brick making machine

Time:2025-12-15 15:10:20

After scientifically proportioning the raw materials, the brick making machine uses mechanical vibration, hydraulic pressing, or a combination of both molding processes to compact and shape the mixture in the mold, ultimately producing bricks that meet the specifications. The following is a detailed explanation of the working principle and core process of the brick making machine:

1、 Working principle of brick making machine

The working principle of brick making machines is mainly based on mechanical vibration, hydraulic pressing, or a combination of both forming processes. Specifically, the brick making machine converts raw materials into bricks through the following steps:

Raw material ratio and mixing: Mix raw materials such as stone powder, slag, fly ash, cement, sand, and stones in scientific proportions, and add an appropriate amount of water for stirring to form a uniform mixture.

Fabric and filling: The mixed raw materials are automatically and evenly filled into the mold (mold box) of the brick making machine through a conveyor belt or fabric cart.

Molding process:

Mechanical vibration forming: The mold is placed on a high-frequency vibration platform, and may be accompanied by the upper pressure head pressing down, so that the material is fully compacted and formed inside the mold. This molding method is commonly used in the production of bricks such as blocks and curbstones.

Hydraulic compression molding: A powerful hydraulic cylinder drives the pressure head to apply high pressure to the material inside the mold, causing it to be molded inside the mold. This molding method is commonly used in the production of high-density pavement bricks, permeable bricks, artificial stones, and other bricks.

Combination of vibration and hydraulic forming: Some brick making machines combine vibration and hydraulic forming methods to improve the density and strength of bricks.

Demolding and Forming: The formed brick blank is pushed out/pushed out of the mold by a lifting mechanism or mold opening mechanism, completing the demolding process.

Maintenance and hardening: After demolding, the bricks are sent to a curing kiln (steam curing or natural curing) for hardening treatment to improve their strength and durability.

2、 Core components and functions of brick making machine

Brick making machines typically consist of the following core components, which work together to achieve efficient brick making:

Host: including key components such as the body, main cylinder, ejector cylinder, and filling device, it is the core structure of the brick making machine.

Hydraulic system: composed of an oil tank, a high-pressure pump, a low-pressure control system, an electric motor, and various pressure valves and directional valves, responsible for providing power and controlling the pressing and forming process of bricks.

Control system: Automated operation of equipment is achieved through PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) or industrial computer system, coordinating the actions of various components (such as fabric quantity, vibration/pressure time, demolding speed, etc.), and may have functions such as parameter setting and fault diagnosis.

Mold: The mold of the brick making machine can be replaced according to production needs to produce bricks of different specifications, shapes, and surface textures (such as standard blocks, hollow bricks, pavement bricks, grass planting bricks, slope protection bricks, decorative bricks, etc.).

3、 Types and characteristics of brick making machines

According to different levels of automation, forming principles, and forming systems, brick making machines can be divided into various types, each with its own characteristics:

Classified by degree of automation:

Fully automatic brick making machine: realizes the automation of the entire process from raw material feeding to finished brick production, with high production efficiency and low labor costs.

Semi automatic brick making machine: Some processes require manual operation, resulting in relatively low production efficiency but also lower costs.

Manual brick making machine: All processes require manual operation, resulting in low production efficiency and suitable for small-scale production or special needs.

Classified by molding principle:

Mechanical vibration brick making machine: uses high-frequency vibration to compact and shape materials, suitable for producing bricks such as blocks and curbstones.

Hydraulic forming brick making machine: using hydraulic cylinders to drive the pressure head to apply high pressure to the material for forming, suitable for producing high-density pavement bricks, permeable bricks and other bricks.

Hybrid brick making machine: combining vibration and hydraulic molding methods to improve the density and strength of bricks.

Classified by molding system:

Mechanical brick making machine: mainly based on mechanical transmission, with a simple structure and low cost, but relatively low production efficiency.

Hydraulic brick making machine: mainly driven by hydraulic transmission, with high pressing force and good forming effect, suitable for large-scale production.
